What are you planning on studying? (Discussion)

If you are looking at going overseas for your education, what kinds of undergraduate degrees or diplomas do you think are best?

I think I would like to continue my education in Business or International Relations in a new country when I decide to go back to school again.

I think that both of these would lead to great career opportunities and would give me a well rounded view to work in our increasingly global business community.

I agree, if I go on to do a master’s at some point I’d like to go abroad. It’ll widen my experience and views, which would increase my marketability as an employee in a lot of places.

It can be very hard to choose an undergraduate program. I’m still not personally sure I made the right decision (Bmath and a BBA instead of science or engineering, for example). But the good thing is that you can always switch if you find out you don’t really like what you’re studying, and that your degree doesn’t automatically get you stuck in a certain job these days.

I have been priviledged to go to a Canadian university for my undergrad and so far it has been an amazing experience. There are so many programs and different fields to get into, as well as many volunteer opportunities too.

I am very interested in continuing my studies in the form of a Masters internationally. Doing this would allow me to explore my intellectual capabilities as well as explore a new country at the same time!

    Dear wiZKid,

At undergraduate level you will not find universities that provide a scope for research. Instead most of the undergraduate course curriculum is meant to learn and apply the concepts learned. As oLahav said once you complete your BS then you can plan to do MS where you have a lot of scope for study and research as well. You can also plan to pursue Ph.D.
